.: Crushing cardamoms :.

With the mortar and pestle.

Sister Farhana organized an Eid food swap; Delicioso Swap

1st Photo:: From Sister Nadi.
2nd Photo:: From Me.

To Sister Farhana:: Thanks for arranging the swap. Had loads of fun fixing up the parcel. ^

To Sister Nadi:: Thanks a mil' for the gorgeous package! I still remember that I owe you the Kleeja recipe. Insya'Allah, I'll email it to you later today. ^

Because of the swap, I'm finally moving on the whole cooking thing. :) Mum got pretty excited when I started asking her where's the saffron. She was like "What do you need?". Next thing I know, she brought massive amounts of ingredients as if I'm cooking a gargantuan feast. Looking on the bright side, we now have ample spices, nuts to last us till next Eid.

Think I'll rummage through Nadi's package so I can whip something up to soothe this dry throat of mine. :)

Have a good day!

hi hajar,

your mother are very much like my mother when i firstly volunteer myself for cooking and baking... i have all the ingredients in front of me..staring at em, not knowinf what shall i do.

but hey, now, cooking and baking has been one of my tension theraphy... weird, but its really working!

Miss Ash :: It'd take me ages to gain 2kgs! *I do eat a lot, mind you* Insya'Allah, I'll take a look at it. ^

Linda :: LoL. Call it maternal reactions then.

Lucky you! As I had stayed away from family, I'm used to devising my own recipes due to insufficient ingredients. When I have it all, that's when things start to get crazy.

Far from being tension therapy, I cook and bake when I'm bored or simply feeling creatively adventurous.

W'salam,
Hajar

Asalaamualaikum,

Yummy swap pic.

btw, is ma'moul a Malaysian sweet also (besides Arab)? I thought the swap was about sharing regional goodies.

W'salam Serendipitouslife ::

Nope. Haha~

Well, not entirely. It's more of sharing the sheer joy of Eid; primarily on food. ^

Plus we're both from M'sia thus to send something M'sian seems off. Eventually, we set themes. Hers was 'Arabia Exotica'. Considering I have traces of Arab roots, hopefully the whole Arab package justifies for the regional goodies.

W'salam,
Hajar
